Health Information Specialist

                                              Health Information Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities: Health Information Specialists obtain, post, analyze medical, workload, finance, and insurance data.  They make sure that this information is properly recorded into medical records so practitioners can plan and evaluate health care provided to patients.

There are a variety of job specialties within this field including Registered Record Administrators, Accredited Record Technicians, and Certified Coding Specialists.

·         Work with patient files

·         Doctor’s right hand in patient help.

Average Salary:    
$20,000 - $25,000 (Coding Specialists)
$23,000 - $30,000 (Record Technicians)
$30,000 - $40,000 (Record Administrators)

Education Requirements: You should take high school courses in business, information management, science, math, and English.

Coding specialists must have a high school diploma or GED certificate.  Training is conducted on the job, and classes are offered at technical schools and community colleges.  To become certified, specialists must pass an examination.


Answer: I would not like to be a health info specialist cause it makes low money income and doesn’t seem like fun.

Reflection: I guess this is true become weirder things have happen, but it is kind of hard to believe. because its like saying you become a millionaire because you always thought about money; it very hard to believe. I would understand it as if you think of being a doctor and you studied for it.

Health Eduator

Duties and responsibilities:

Health educators provide information on health and health related issues. They can assess health training needs and plan health education programs. They may specialize according to specific health concerns, illnesses, or work or training settings health educators may work as independent consultants or in health departments, community organization, businesses, hospitals, schools, or government, agencies. Health educators often:

           ·         Perform health training needs assessments.


           ·         Design and develop health education programs.

           ·         Publish health education materials, information papers, and grant proposals.

           ·         Develop health education curriculum.

           ·         Teach health in public and private schools.

Average Salary: $20,000 - $35,000

Education Requirements:

Students should take college preparatory courses during high school.


Health educators have, as a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in health education. Many have Master’s degrees. To be certified or licensed to teach health in public schools requires a master’s degree and successful completion of written exam in many states.

Reflection:You need to harvest great fruit and eat good fruit to bear happy thoughts and be good. That's what i hear from this statement fruit has nothing to do with your attitude, yes it does stimulate the brain to think, but there is no such thing as bad fruit or good fruit its all on how the person is.

Genetic Counselor

Duties and Responsibilities: Genetic counselors are health professionals who are trained to help families understand genetic disorders and to provide information and support to those families. They may also serve as patient advocates by referring people or families to local hospitals that can be of help.
Genetic research is a powerful tool for treating medical conditions, but it is still a new tool. Many people whose families are affected by genetic disorders don't understand how it will affect them. Even genetic researchers and doctors don't really understand how genes cause all genetic disorders. Genetic counselors work with doctors and families to get the information they need to understand the disorder. They:
·         Study learns the problem with the gene.
·         Works with Doctors
Salary: $53,204 - $77,349

Education: In order to become a Certified Genetic Counselor, one must obtain a Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling from an ACGC Program. Once all requirements have been met, you may apply and sit for the Certification Examination. There are no other pathways through which a person can become a Certified Genetic Counselor.


Answer: I would like to be a Genetic Counselor because it’s not a lot of work One has to do and get paid a lot.
