Clinical
Manager
The clinical director is responsible for setting up policies and
procedures; updating and retaining medical records; interacting with patients
regarding billing and setting appointments; and working with insurance
companies and regulatory agencies. This
position is also responsible for auditing medical procedures and treatments to
be sure that the patient care provided by the facility is safe, effective, and
in accordance with established medical standards.
Salary: $76,000
Education: The position of
clinical manager generally requires at least a bachelor’s degree in a field
related to medical administration or health care administration. A clinical director should also have several
years of experience working in a medical environment such as a clinic or
doctor’s office. People in clinical
management or directorial positions generally work in the facilities they
supervise, where they can observe procedures, interact with patients, and
address staff concerns when needed.
